Igeekphone News, June 27th: According to the feedback submitted by Igeekphone users, Xiaomi has launched the recruitment of “Android 16 Early Adopers” for two models, Xiaomi 15 and REDMI K70 Ultra, starting today, with 1,000 users for each model.
The version recruited for users to try out this time is the Beta version of Xiaomi Pengpai OS based on Android 16. This version has some issues regarding user stability and application compatibility. It is recommended to experience this version on a non-primary device.
Because this version is based on Android 16, it cannot be upgraded to the official version through system upgrade during the test period. After the test, the data can be retained and upgraded to the latest version pushed by the system. The official suggests that users whose registered models are not the main models sign up.
The registration period is from June 27th to July 4th, 2025. (If the quota is full, the recruitment will be stopped in advance. If the questionnaire cannot be filled out, it indicates that the recruitment has ended.) Starting from today, the review will be conducted gradually. The system will directly push updates. The update frequency will be updated irregularly depending on the progress of the test. After the review is passed, you will receive the first update.
The official Q&A is as follows:
Q: After becoming an “Android 16 Early Adopter”, is it supported to roll back to the official version after the upgrade?
A: You can email mi-mifenfankui@xiaomi.com, take a screenshot of the version update log and the Xiaomi Community personal information page (Xiaomi Community App- My – Edit Profile) to apply for logout. After a successful exit application, the system version will remain at the current Android 16 version and cannot be rolled back to the official Android 15 version. Users of main devices are advised to upgrade with caution.
Q: If I encounter problems during the experience of Android 16, how should I give feedback?
A: You can submit in the Service and Feedback App. This time, we mainly focus on one-way problem collection. We will conduct data analysis and system optimization later.
If there are any concentrated issue resolution results, we will post an announcement in the Xiaomi Community or reply to you in the Service and Feedback App.
