On July 31, Igeekphone reported that the blogger Digital Chat Station stated that the Xiaomi 16 series, Honor Magic8 series, Realme GT8 Pro, and iQOO15 have all started their ultra-forward-looking preheating one after another. The main reason is that the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip has been significantly upgraded. Everyone is scrambling for the release date, and the first manufacturers have immediately launched new models after the chip was released. It is hoped that the new device will go on sale immediately upon release and be available to users before the National Day holiday.

According to the leaked information, the first manufacturer is Xiaomi. Its annual flagship, the Xiaomi 16 series, will be launched in September. This time, Xiaomi will simultaneously release three models, namely the Xiaomi 16 and the Xiaomi 16 Pro, with two Pro versions.
It is reported that the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 model is SM8850. At present, the CPU main frequency is 4.6GHz and the GPU is 1.2GHz. It adopts Qualcomm’s self-developed Oryon CPU, which is manufactured based on TSMC’s N3P process (the third-generation 3nm process), and integrates Adreno 840 GPU. The GPU independent cache has been upgraded to 16MB.
Qualcomm will hold the Snapdragon Summit from September 23rd to 25th and officially release its flagship platform, Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. According to the schedule, the release time of the Xiaomi 16 series should be between September 25th and September 30th.
After the debut of the Xiaomi 16 series, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 flagships of various brands will be launched one after another starting from October.
