Igeekphone News on July 22nd: With the popularity of Xiaomi 13, 14, and 15, many domestic manufacturers have successively entered the 6.3-inch small-screen market.
However, according to the leaks, Xiaomi will still be the exclusive Snapdragon small-screen flagship. Among the 6.3-inch models to be released at the end of the year, the Xiaomi 16 is the only one equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, while the others are all Dimensity 9500.
In addition, the Xiaomi 16 series will also be the first to launch the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, which will be exclusively available in September.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is manufactured based on TSMC’s third-generation 3nm process and adopts the second-generation self-developed Oryon CPU architecture. The GPU independent cache has been increased to 16MB. The theoretical single-core performance of GeekBench 6 is set at over 4000, and the multi-core performance is over 11000.
For comparison, the single-core score of the Snapdragon 8 Elite is around 3100, and the multi-core score is around 9800.
In other respects, the standard version of the Xiaomi 16 is equipped with a Leica triple camera system, including a main camera, an upright telephoto lens and an ultra-wide-angle lens, and its battery capacity exceeds 6000mAh.

In terms of appearance, it adopts a one-piece cold engraving process similar to that of apples, further enhancing the texture. The back panel is made of glass and is available in black, white and pink colors.
In terms of the system, the Xiaomi 16 series will be the first to come pre-installed with the Surge OS 3. It is expected that the UI design will be further upgraded. Additionally, it will bring new surprises in aspects such as smoothness, AI, and intelligent connectivity.
