Igeekphone News on September 16th: The Xiaomi 17 series has been officially announced to be released this month. This time, not only has the first generation been skipped, but even the product line strategy has undergone significant changes.
The series consists of three products: Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max.
Among them, Xiaomi 17 is the official iteration of the Xiaomi 15, and the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max is the official iteration of the Xiaomi 15 Pro.

As for the Xiaomi 17 Pro, it is a new model. It has the same 6.3-inch small straight screen as the standard versions of the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 17, but its configuration is all Pro, especially the imaging specifications have been greatly enhanced.
According to the blogger Digital Chat Station’s revelation, the Xiaomi 17 Pro will be equipped with a 50-megapixel Leica ultra-large sensor triple-camera system. The main camera has an aperture of F1.67, the telephoto aperture of F3.0, the ultra-wide-angle lens of 17mm, and the telephoto lens of 115mm.
Among them, the telephoto lens is the first time that Xiaomi has equipped a periscope solution on a small straight screen, supporting equivalent 5X optical zoom.

From the official appearance pictures released by Xiaomi, it can also be seen that the camera in the middle of the Xiaomi 17 Pro series is clearly a square piece, confirming the periscope telephoto lens.
In fact, after the Xiaomi 15 solved the battery life problem last year, the only relatively weak point of Xiaomi’s small-screen phones was the imaging. After this improvement, it may become the most competitive small straight-screen flagship in the industry.
It should be noted that the Xiaomi 17 Pro integrates both a back screen and a periscope telephoto lens into its 6.3-inch body, which is bound to put some pressure on internal stacking and heat dissipation. We look forward to seeing how Xiaomi will handle this.
