Xiaomi Aqara AC Companion P3 Launched With Apple HomeKit Support

Today, Xiaomi released an updated Aqara AC Companion in China. This new P3 is the first smart companion that comes with support for Apple HomeKit, and Siri as well. The new Xiaomi Aqara AC Companion is priced at 269 yuan ($37.58). But a deposit of 50 yuan ($7) can be reduced to 90 yuan ($12.57), and the final price is 229 yuan ($32).

The previous version worked only with MiHome and Aqara. But this device supports the Apple HomeKit ecosystem. So now just open the Apple HomeKit ecosystem app and configure it to run the air conditioner or combined scenarios depending on the time of day, your location, or other conditions.

You can also control the air conditioner in conjunction with Apple devices. Voice control will support both turning on and off the air conditioner, temperature control, and other operations.

In addition to air conditioners, the Xiaomi Aqara AC Companion is able to control powerful electric devices with a current strength of up to 16A, for example, electric heaters. And in case of power problems, P3 can automatically turn it off to ensure security in your apartment.

The P3 model integrates the gateway function for the ZigBee, 3.0 communication protocol, which eliminates the need for an additional hub. This allows direct access to various Aqara smart devices, such as wall switches, smart sockets, smart door locks, wireless switches, door and window sensors, and much more.

The Xiaomi Aqara AC Companion also supports more than 240 manufacturers of air conditioners and has a huge library of infrared codes to manage them. In addition, various household appliances in the infrared range with the implementation of various functions are supported.
