Igeekphone reported on May 10th that Xiaomi has launched the Mijia M40S sweeping and mopping robot today. It will go on sale at 20:00 on May 13th. The first price for the water tank version is 2,999 yuan, and the first price for the water supply and drainage version is 3,699 yuan. The starting prices for the national subsidy are 2,594.15 yuan and 3,144.15 yuan respectively.
This new product is quite different from the M40 in appearance. The water supply and drainage version is the first time that the Mi Home sweeping and mopping robot has adopted an embedded base station. It only requires a space of 420mm*450mm*280mm and can be perfectly hidden under the cabinet, sink and other areas.
The base station can automatically inlet and outlet water and automatically add cleaning agents. There is no need for manual operation each time. Regular cleaning and liquid replenishment are sufficient.
The base station supports up to 80°C hot water washing and 2-hour hot air drying. It does not require hand washing or sun-drying. It is equipped with “double scraper arms”, which can automatically scrape and clean the base while cleaning the mop at high temperature, making it less likely to leave stains.
After the cleaning is completed and the base is returned, the garbage in the dust box of the main unit can be quickly collected into the dust bag. The dust bag can be thrown away at most once every 75 days.
The machine body has also been upgraded, featuring a lift-type laser navigation system. When encountering low-lying areas, the navigation system intelligently descends, and the body becomes as thin as 8.8cm, allowing it to reach low areas such as under sofas and beds.
Dual-line laser stereoscopic scanning, real-time perception of low obstacles, combined with lifting navigation laser and edge ranging laser, multiple high-precision lasers are combined to intelligently plan the cleaning path.
Equipped with the “strongest” 23,000 Pa fan suction power in Mijia, it is fitted with a dual-blade hair cutting main brush that sweeps and cuts fallen hair on the ground simultaneously. The powerful suction can collect hair debris in real time. Combined with an anti-tangling side brush, it reduces the trouble of manually cleaning the main brush and side brushes.
In addition, it supports smart retractable side brushes and mops. When encountering corner areas, it will automatically extend and stick to the corners to sweep dust or to the wall edge to mop the floor at a millimeter-level.
