Following the launch of the Mi 12 series in the Chinese market late last year, Xiaomi has now brought its latest flagship phones to the international market with the Mi 12, Mi 12 Pro and Mi 12X models.
Xiaomi mi 12 Pro
The Mi 12 Pro packs all the high-end features of the 2022 flagship, including Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chip, up to 12GB of LPDDR5 memory, and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. On the front is a huge 6.73-inch QHD+ LTPO AMOLED center-punched display that offers peak refresh rate of 120Hz, supporting for variable refresh rate, touch sampling rate of up to 480Hz, 100% dci-p3 coverage, and peak brightness of 1500 nits, it has gorilla glass Victus protection.
Mi 12 Pro has a 32-megapixel selfie camera, a 50-megapixel main wide-angle camera with optical stabilization (OIS), a 50-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera, and a 50-megapixel telephato camera. It is capable of 8K video recording, the device also offers 4K HDR10 + recording support, all three rear cameras support night mode, and supports Xiaomi ProFocus (Motion tracking focus/Motion capture/Eye tracking focus).
Mi 12 Pro has a built-in 4600mAh battery that supports 120W wired fast and can be fully charged in just 18 minutes. The device also features 50W wireless quick charging and 10W reverse wireless charging support. Other features include a new Goodix in-display light sensor for automatic display color correction, the Paper P1 chip for enhanced battery efficiency, under-screen fingerprints, four speakers and more.
In terms of connectivity, Mi 12 Pro offers 5G NR support, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC. The device runs MIUI 13, which is based on Android 12.
Xiaomi MI 12
The standard Mi 12 comes with the same Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chip, up to 12GB of LPDDR5 ram, and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The slightly smaller 6.28-inch FHD+AMOLED display provides a peak refresh rate of 120Hz, touch sampling rate of up to 480Hz, peak brightness of 1100 nits, and 100% DCI-P3 coverage.
Mi 12 features a 32 megapixel selfie camera. There is a 50 megapixel SONY IMX766 main camera on the back, with OIS, a 13 megapixel ultra wide angle camera, and a 5 megapixel telephoto camera. It provides supporting for 8K video recording, 4K HDR10 + recording, night mode support for main camera and ultra wide camera, as well as Xiaomi ProFocus support.
Mi 12 has a slightly smaller 4500mAh battery that supports 67W wired quick charging, 50W wireless quick charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. Other notable features include an on-screen fingerprint sensor and dual speakers.
In terms of connectivity, the Mi 12 offers 5G NR support, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC. Running MIUI 13 based on Android 12.
Xiaomi MI12 x
Mi 12X is an affordable model with a built-in Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chip, up to 8GB of LPDDR5 ram, and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It has the same 6.28-inch FHD+AMOLED display as the Mi 12.
Mi 12X also features the same camera hardware as Mi 12, including a 50 megapixel IMX766 main camera, a 13 megapixel ultra wide angle camera, a 5 megapixel telephoto camera, and a 32 megapixel selfie camera, 8K video recording support is also available, but 4K HDR10 + video shooting and Xiaomi ProFocus support are lacking.
Mi 12X also comes with a 4500mAh battery that supports 67W of wired quick charging, but doesn’t come with wireless charging. Other notable features include in-screen fingerprints and dual speakers.
In terms of connectivity, Mi 12X offers 5G NR support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1 and NFC. Like the other two, it runs Android 12-based MIUI 13.

The price
The new Mi 12 series will be available in the coming weeks in various regions, including but not limited to Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America. Xiaomi has not yet shared full pricing and availability information for all regions, but it has shared the MSRP for the base memory/storage version for all models:
