Today, Xiaomi presents the 3rd generation version of its purifier dedicated to small and medium areas of the home. Xiaomi’s new Air Purifier comes under the name of “Mi Air Purifier 3” and is ahead of the 2S model sold in the Xiaomi Mi Store.
The price of this new purifier is 899 yuan in China ($137). We hope to find it for sale in the different Chinese stores at a higher price through resellers.
Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier 3 allows an air cleaning in areas between 28-48m ^ 3 (CADR value of 400m ^ 3/ hour). Being 29% more powerful than the current 2S version. The size of this new Air Purifier is 240 x 240 x 520mm, while its weight is 4.8kg. Use 38W to work and its code name is that of AC-M6-SC.
Inside there is a triple filtration system that has the capacity to retain particles of a size of 0.3 nanometers. It has no Hepa filter, if not “Epa” of high density. This filter is combined with another activated coconut coal that is also capable of eliminating bad odors, formaldehyde, and other harmful substances.
Thanks to an air turbine the purifier collects the air from below and passes it through the filter, it cleans the air of contaminating impurities as well as particles that cause allergic reactions or asthma.
At the rear, there is a sensor that alerts the system when it detects that there are more PM2.5 particles than it should. The purifier will automatically clean the air according to the detection of PM2.5 particles. This time Xiaomi has changed the design of the screen and we see how the air quality warning color circle is shown at the bottom of the screen with a circle.

The new version of the Mi Air Purifier is compatible with three brand filters, each of which is made of different materials. This in turn is compatible with the new version of the filter called S1 that was launched to the Asian market only a month ago.
Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier 3 can also be connected to Mijia APP and Xiaoai AI voice control system to complete intelligent environmental electrical equipment such as air purifier and DC inverter air conditioner, sterilization humidifier, fresh air system. The linkage control can also be associated with other intelligent hardware components IoT in the Xiaomi ecological chain. Information such as the use of the filter element can also be displayed in the Mijia APP.
