Today, MIUI released a system update for the development version 8.11.15 of Xiaomi’phones. In addition to the regular updates, MIUI also announced a new mobile phone that joins the Android P test – Xiaomi MI Max 3.
The update announcement pointed out that Xiaomi MI Max 3 is the last Android O beta version 8.11.15 released for Android P. It is expected to open Android P beta in mid-to-late November.
Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is a mobile phone with a large screen and large battery released by Xiaomi in July this year. It uses a combination of a 6.9-inch large screen + 5500mAh large battery and a 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 mobile chip.
Android P is a new version of the system officially released by Google in August this year, and its digital code is Android 9. From the release to the present, most of the newly released mobile phones are equipped with Android P, and many of the flagship mobile phones that have been released before have also been upgraded. At present, major manufacturers are actively adapting unrenewed mobile phones.
As far as Xiaomi is concerned, several mobile phones including Xiaomi Mi MIX 3, Xiaomi Mi 8, Xiaomi Mi SE, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S and Xiaomi Mi Max 3 have officially released Android P or are undergoing Android P related tests. The announced Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is a relatively low-end model.
