Xiaomi is currently working on foldable models to counteract the Samsung Fold devices. In the last few weeks, there have always been leaks about the first smartphone of this type and TechinDeep has now created some renders based on this information that should show what the new devices will look like. They are also called Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold – but this naming is not yet certain.
In the images that we can see of the Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold, one of the most surprising aspects is the extended external screen, which unlike that of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold is not complete and would only offer us to read the news, check the time, the time and some shortcuts. The fully unfolded mobile will let us see a design with two different materials, where aluminum seems to predominate and glass is also an important part.
The rear also lets us see a set of triple cameras and of course the Xiaomi name. But the thing is not here, because we also see how its large screen does not show any type of hole and there does not appear to be a mechanism for pop up cameras, which could mark that the camera under the screen will be a reality.
In this renders of the Mi Mix Fold, you cannot see the legacy mechanism, although everything indicates that it will be very similar to the one used and developed by Samsung.
Based on all the information obtained and which has been taken into account to carry out these renderings, we know that the screen would be Amoled with 12.5 inches and a resolution of 2480 × 1860 with a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz. The rear screen will also be AMOLED, allowing to turn off the LEDs that are not used, with a resolution of 840 × 2520.
Their cameras are called to use a Sony IMX766 sensor, which is 50MP and has an optical image stabilizer. It would also be accompanied by a wide-angle and a telephoto lens of which there are no details.
The processor that will be responsible for moving the system is Qualcomm’s most powerful, the Snapdragon 888, incorporating everything you need in connectivity. We will have to keep an eye on the next news, since if these renders are fulfilled and this is the final design of Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold, the step forward will be important.
