The phone comes with a 5.7inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1440 pixels at a PPI of 282 pixels per inch. The Xiaomi Redmi 5 Black Version is also powered by 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor and it comes in 2 variants with 2GB + 16GB and another one is 3GB + 32Gb there is also a microSD card slot, allowing users to further expand the storage capacity.
As far as the cameras are concerned, it packs a 12MP primary camera on the rear and a 5MP front shooter for selfies. The Xiaomi Redmi 5 is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, FM, 3G, and 4G. Sensors on the phone include a Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope.

The Xiaomi Redmi 5 Black Version will be officially available for sale at December 25 and price of 2GB + 16GB version is 799 yuan ($121.57), and 3GB + 32GB version of the price of 899 yuan ($136.78).
