Design
In design, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4x continues the design language and style of Redmi Note 4, almost same, on the front design, it uses 5.5 inch FHD screen with 1920*1080p resolution, up to 450nit brightness, 403ppi density,1000:1 contrast, 72% NTSC color gamut, supporting night screen, eye protection mode and color temperature adjustment.

In Antutu test, Snapdragon 625 processor has less 10,000 points than Helio X20, especially in UX performance, namely users’ experience, including data safety, data processing, strategy game, image processing, and I/O.
In Geekbench 4, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X with Snapdragon 625 processor has got 825 points in single core, 2,847 points in multi-core. But Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 with Helio X20 has 1,661 points in single core,and 4,804 points in multi-core. Therefore, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4x is not as powerful as Redmi Note 4.
Although in performance, Snapdragon 625 is not as good as Helio X20, thanks to the baseband and power saving function, Snapdragon 625 has more advantage. That’s the reason that Redmi Note 4X has better battery life.
Camera
In camera, Redmi Note 4X uses dual camera with 13MP back one, 5P lens, f/2.0 aperture, dual tone LED light supporting PDAF with dark light enhancement technology, HDR,panoramic mode,continuous mode, facial recognition, real-time filter photographing, supporting 1080P/720P video shooting, 30fps/720p slow motion video and 120fps. And it has 5MP front camera to support the second generation 36-level smart beautification, facial recognition.

According to samples, the image quality has some disadvantages in resolving power, background blur, and color reproduction. In sample 1, due to bad weather of Beijing, it has accurate white balance, but after enlarging the details, there is obvious sharpen edge around the building.

Battery
In battery, Redmi Note 4X can not only beat Iphone 7 Plus that we have reported before from Xiaomi official. After 14 hours 26 minutes navigation, it has 18% power left, and it can support 22 hours for e-books reading, 18 hours tv watching, 11 days standby, 162 hours music playing, even 15 hours game playing without problem.As for charging, it supports up to 10 W, so how is the battery? Right now we test Redmi Note 4X in 2 hours.
Under the circumstance of no inserting SIM, connecting Wifi, 50% brightness, we test watching videos online, reading e-books, playing games, playing wechat, music, watch live video for each 20 minutes, after two hours, the smartphone battery power has been down from 93% to 77%, it consumes 16% power. Redmi Note 4X can work in 12 hours without problems under this kind of heavy use. Therefore the official test is reliable.
But it doesn’t support quick charge but 5V/2A standard, it is built in 4,100mAh battery, which can take two hours 40 minutes to charge it full. It’s good to know that Redmi Note 4X has no problem to use for one day.
We need to know that Redmi Note 4 has done well in heat issue. During test, we have no feel about its overheating. Therefore, Snapdragon 625 processor has reduced the power consumption and heat problem.
Conclusion
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X has nice performance in power consumption, and it is also a competitive budget smartphone with more colors and lower power consumption, especially Redmi Note 4X MIKU version which appeals to most young users.
