Xiaomi held a conference in Beijing on the afternoon of March 16 to release it’s latest “Thousand yuan Smartphone” which is Redmi Note 5 and this time it is released in Chinese version. Recently Redmi Note 5 and 5 Pro was sold in India. At that time, it sold 300,000 units in just 3 seconds.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 as a “thousands of yuan” grade mobile phone supports vertical dual lens modules, but the dual lens has different uses. One of the 5MP cameras gives the phone a depth of field message, the other 12MP camera takes a picture, and supports Dual PD dual-focus, 1.4um large pixels, and f/1.9 aperture.
The Dual PD dual-core focusing technology generates 24 million light-sensing elements when focusing, making the focus faster, and capturing more brighter with 1.4-μm-large pixels.
In addition, the dual-lens support portrait mode uses AI mechanical learning to accurately calculate portrait edges and blur the background. Xiaomi claims that the portrait mode optimization is better than the iPhone X. After taking pictures, Redmi Note 5 also supports AI smart beauty such as removing dark circles, anti-acne, and shine, which is suitable for users.
As for the front lens support 13MP and HDR shooting, plus pre-soft light, also supports portrait mode. With the front camera, Redmi Note 5 support AI face unlock function, claiming that it cannot be cracked by the movie, nor can it be unlocked with closed eyes.
Xiaomi claimed that the Redmi Note 5 is a “water bucket mobile” in the thousand-yuan. It is one of the best in its class in terms of specifications and performance. Redmi Note 5 uses the industry’s first 4 small core Snapdragon 636 processor and its antutu score up to 115,247. The screen uses a 5.99-inch FHD 18:9 full screen, which supports full-screen gestures for one-handed operation, coupled with 6GB of Ram, 4000mAh for battery and fast charging support. The system uses Android-based MIUI 9.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is expected to be available for sale on various sales channels in China at 10:00 on March 20th. The “3GB Ram + 32GB Rom” version sells for 1099 yuan ($173.76) while “4GB Ram + 64GB Rom” version price is 1,399 yuan ($221.19) and “6GB Ram + 64GB Rom variant will be available in 1699 yuan ($268.62). The shade of color is divided into rose gold, pink blue, gold and black, and the mobile phone will send the TPU minimal protection case.
