According to XDA, Xiaomi Redmi brand will release a new product for China and India, and finally confirms its name, Xiaomi Redmi S2, which aims at entry level one, but it will have dual rear camera and face ID function.
It is said that this Redmi S2 will adopt 18:9 1440×720 LCD screen, powered by Snapdragon 625 processor, ROM 16GB, supporting card for expansion, as for its running storage, it may have RAM 2GB or 3GB.
This entry-level phone uses dual rear camera, Sony IMX486 or OmniVision OV12A10 sensor, 12MP main back camera, Samsung S5K5E8 sensor, 5MP secondary back camera, the front camera uses Samsung S5K5E8 sensor, 5MP, which will support EIS, portrait mode and face unlocking.

Redmi S2 will use 3080mAh battery, running MIUI 9 OS based Android 8.1 Oreo. Previously, Xiaomi didn’t release Redmi S1, but Redmi 1S, so will the international name be different from China name?
