He said the technology has 17 patents, and the core technologies are space positioning and energy transmission. The self-developed spacer charging pile has 5 built-in phase interference antennas, which can carry out millisecond spatial positioning of the mobile phone and accurately detect the position of the mobile phone. A phase-controlled array of 144 antennas directs millimeter waves to the mobile phone through beamforming.
On the mobile side, Xiaomi has developed its own antenna array. Among them, the “beacon antenna” broadcasts position information in the space field through low power consumption, and the “receiving antenna array” composed of 14 antennas converts millimeter-wave signals emitted by charging piles into electric energy through the rectifying circuit, thus realizing the science-fiction spacer charging experience.

Lei also said that Xiaomi has developed its own space-based charging technology to charge wearable devices such as smart watches and wristbands.
