The R&D team of Xiaomi keeps getting patents. In this case, Xiaomi has gone a step beyond smartphones by obtaining its first patent for the development of smart glasses. But contrary to what many of us would think, Xiaomi’s First Medical Smart Glasses would obviate its use as a smart device in the way that to date leading companies such as Google or Facebook have looked for it and have failed to fit in.
In detail, this patent has been obtained by Beijing Xiaomi Mobile Software Co., Ltd under the name of ” Smart Glasses and Glasses Case “. A rather curious concept that, beyond becoming an extension of our smartphone, seems to be designed to improve our health.
According to its description, the Smart Glasses and Glasses Case is a gadget that would incorporate a system of therapeutic signals that would allow us to both treat and detect some types of diseases. Previously Xiaomi has already put its own gadgets on sale to treat eye strain.
But these new glasses in addition to improving our eyestrain would serve to treat brain and mental diseases such as depression or anxiety. This would be thanks to the fact that they would implement a mechanism that would produce magnetic and acoustic waves in order to improve our blood circulation.
For now, it is only a concept of Xiaomi’s First Medical Smart Glasses and there is no more data about it. But any technological development that serves to improve our health is great news.
