Igeekphone News on July 28th: This morning, Meizu Technology officially launched the preheating of Meizu 22, which will challenge the world’s narrowest 1.2mm physical four-sided equilateral design.
Meizu Technology stated, “It’s now the last week of July. We’re sorry it’s so hard. We missed July in the height of summer. We’re late for the most beautiful appointment to turn 22.”
Since no one would dislike pure white things, the industry’s claim of “white” is a delusion. The narrower the border, the lower the yield rate of white panels will drop sharply. This cliff is a “forbidden zone” that most brands are reluctant to touch, and even the few who have been stubborn mostly turn around and give up.

Since the white panel of the MX2 first emerged, it has become the gene deeply engraved in the blood of Meizu phones. Until the 21 series, it has always been the pure aesthetic belief we firmly hold onto. What resonates with us is that in the hearts of Meizu fans, without a white panel, no matter how good the product is, it cannot reach the soul of Meizu.
After the project of Meizu 22 was initiated, in pursuit of the ultimate grip, the R&D team chose to challenge the world’s narrowest four-sided record. They independently developed the LIPO process and launched a technological assault on the 1.2mm narrow bezel. With such a narrow 1.2mm bezel, it is reasonable that a white panel cannot be produced. However, if they compromise for this reason, then the white will no longer be Meizu’s white.
As a company, Meizu has won and lost, but in the face of the aesthetic obsession of the Meizu brand and its users, we have an unshakable stubbornness. 22 has many firsts, but it cannot do without this uniqueness.
With the advancement of research and development technology, at the cost of a more complex six-layer processing procedure and a higher defect rate, the narrowest white panel process is gradually seeing a glimmer of hope. After almost desperate rounds of trial production failures and having to start over, we are approaching that limit – the world’s narrowest fourth-grade white frame of 1.2mm.
Meizu stated that perhaps even narrower bezels will emerge in the future. Maybe the white panel will eventually have no place to be used, but even if the splendor is unparalleled, it should still be unparalleled splendor. The Meizu 22 is not a white one.
Last weekend, Typhoon Weipa swept across Zhuhai, but the following days were all sunny. In fact, we are not afraid of anything, but we are afraid that Meizu will no longer be Meizu.
