Beelink launched a new TV Box this August, the Beelink GT1. The sweet about the GT1 is that it looks like a portable speaker and the Beats look alike logo on the top speaks as this is some kind of speaker from Beats. But its not. The GT1 measures 9.60 x 9.60 x 1.60 cm and this compact palm sized design makes it lightweight and portable. GT1 looks elegant with its black and silver colour combination.
The back is occupied by plenty of ports. There’s an USB 2.0 port and an HDMI-OUT port for connecting the box to larger screens. For accessing Internet, the box comes with a RJ45 LAN port & has an optical port. On the side, there is an additional USB port alongside an external TF card slot.
Amlogic S912 is the Amlogic’s 2016 latest octa core CPU that clocks at 2.0Ghz. This is the dominating aspect of the GT1. The S912 promises smooth response and solid performance.To handle the graphics processing, the Beelink GT1 posses a powerful ARM Mali-T820MP3 GPU. It comes with a 2GB RAM of RAM and comes with an onboard storage of 16GB. To cater the additional storage needs, the storage can be expanded via an external TF card.
With its powerful hardware, the GT1 is capable of playing 4K movies and videos. The highest resolution supported is 4K 10 Bit 60HZ @60fps. For seemless audio experience, the GT1 has been Dolby/dts encoding enabled. As seen in the image, the 4K 10 bit color videos look better than the previous 8 bit color videos. The High Dynamic Ranging (HDR) support balances the colours accurately.
The GT1 runs on the latest Android 6.0 and comes preinstalled with useful apps like Youtube, Facebook, Skype, etc. To get your started with the basic things, the KODI media center helps organise, browse your content. You don’t need to worry about the software getting oudated as GT1 regularly receives OTA updates to keep you running.
For connectivity, the Beelink has Bluetooth v4.0 for connecting to Bluetooth speakers and keyboard or a mouse. It is equipped with dual channel WiFi and support 5Ghz band for faster speeds. Additionally, the GT1 supports technologies like the Airplay and Miracast. These allow you to mirror your phone’s screen directly on your Tv screen. Ain’t it cool?
