Xiaomi is expected to announce a new Redmi smartphone on January 10 in China, the first device with the new Redmi sub-brand. With the official separation of the brand name, Xiaomi is expected to focus on emblematic devices under the name Mi.
At the moment, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 and Mi 8 are the main devices with premium hardware specifications. It is expected that the Xiaomi Mi 9 will be released in March 2019 as successor to Mi 8 and now we have received the first information on all specifications of the Xiaomi Mi 9.
Even though Xiaomi has not yet officially announced anything about the Mi 9, the alleged Mi 9 hardware specs have come up in Weibo, giving us everything we can expect from the next Xiaomi smartphone. According to the information, the Xiaomi Mi 9 may feature a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a notch of a drop on the top with a ratio of 19: 9. I still dread information about the dimensions of the phone and indicates the size of 155 × 75 × 7.6mm, which is similar to the Xiaomi Mi 8.
The phone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 and it will have as much as 6GB of RAM and 128GB additional. In terms of camera, it has a triple camera module with camera sensors 48MP + 12MP + ToF. The main camera of 48MP and is the same sensor IMX586 from Sony that we have already seen in devices like Huawei Nova 4, but information about the other sensors are not disclosed. At the front, the Xiaomi Mi 9 has an IMX576 sensor of 24MP.
The battery of the Mi 9 will be the same as the Mi 8, that is, 3500mAh without the support for wireless charging. However, it will come with a 32W charger with Qualcomm QC4.0 quick charge bracket and will run on MIUI 10 based on the Android operating system 9.0 (Pie).
One of the great news is that the smartphone will display the fingerprint sensor on the screen instead of a conventional fingerprint sensor, as we saw in the edition Mi 8 Explorer, in which case this will happen in the normal version.
The information also indicates that the Mi 9 may have a price of $445 for the variant of 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which means that the price should be around 2999 yuan. Although this information is very specific, we should consider all this information with some mistrust, since it is the first time that information about the equipment is disclosed and may not yet correspond to the truth.
