Today Vivo quietly launched a new smartphone series Y in China, nicknamed Vivo Y3. The new budget Android smartphone from Vivo it may not be a leader in its class in terms of performance, but it has some impressive features. The highlights are the triple cameras on the back and the non-removable battery with a massive capacity of 5000 mAh.
The Vivo Y3 comes with a 6.35-inch notch screen with a screen-to-body ratio of 89% and a resolution of 720 x 1544 HD +. It runs on an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 processor with speeds up to 2.3 GHz, along with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in memory. The smartphone also includes a microSD card slot, allowing for greater expansion of up to 256GB.
For optics, there is a triple camera configuration on the back of the phone with a primary 13MP sensor, an 8MP wide-angle snapper, and a 2MP depth sensor. The smartphone is equipped with a 16MP front camera with an aperture f / 2.0. Both the front and rear camera of the Vivo Y3 offers several improvements powered by AI.
When it comes to battery life, the Vivo Y3 is expected to be more impressive than most of its rivals. It has a massive 5000mAh battery with fast charging support of 18W. In terms of physical dimensions, the new Vivo Y3 measures 159.43 x 76.77 x 8.92 mm and weighs 190.5 grams, and popular connection options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and MicroUSB 2.0 port.
On the software front, Vivo Y3 will ship with the latest version of the company Funtouch OS 9, which is based on Android 9 Pie. Some of the highlights include the support for facial unlocking, the fingerprint sensor mounted on the back and the reverse OTG load. Comes with Vivo Jovi AI’s assistant as well.
The Vivo Y3 now appears in JD. com for CNY 1498. The color options offered include Peacock Blue, Peach Powder, and Ink Blue. It is not yet known if the Vivo Y3 will be launched in markets outside of China.
