Xiaomi held the new products press conference today, besides Xiaom MI TV 3S 65inch, and MI TV 3S 55inch, Xiaomi has also released Xiaomi MI5S and Xiaomi MI5S Plus smartphone.
Xiaomi MI5S uses all metal uniboy, the overall design looks like Xiaomi MI5, but Xiaomi MI5S uses metal material.
Xiaomi MI5S is equipped with the new generation Ultrasonic fingerprint scanner without opening holes, it can recognize 3D fingerprint by Ultrasonic scanning, built in 10000 vibration sensor detection.
Users can directly scan the fingerprint on the glass to use ultrasonic fingerprint 3D feature to read. In order to help users’ position the touch place, Xiaomi has set up a groove on the front panel to help them locate quickly.
As for battery capacity, it uses 3200mAh battery to support the new generation QC3.0 Quick charge, 9V/2A, USB Type C port.
In camera, Xiaomi MI5S claims to use Sony IMX378 Sensor, 1/2.3inch sensor area, 1.55μm single pixel, to be simple, it uses 1/2.3inch CMOS, which has better 61% light than iPhone 6s plus.
The antenna line design looks like iPhone 6S, main camera and flashlight are located at the top left. The back cover uses high gross anode process, the front design uses 2.5D glass.
In addition, Xiaomi MI5S can also support QC3.0, 4G+ netcom network including dark grey, golden color, silver, and rose golden four colors. The grey and golden color use high gross back shell drawing technology, but the silver and rose golden color use matt frosted back shell. In price, RAM 3GB ROM 64GB at 1999 yuan, $333, €265, RAM 4GB ROM 128GB at 2299 yuan, $383, €310.
Xiaomi MIS Plus uses all metal unibody design, coming with 5.7inch 1080P screen, powered by Snapdragon 821 processor.
Xiaomi MI5S Plus provides dual rear 13MP camera with Sony IMX378, two lens can be used separately. So it can work together.
The colorful sensor can capture the color information to provide more details for pictures and less noise. And the professional white and black sensor can take better photos.
Xiaomi MI5S Plus can also support NFC and UFS 2.0 flash. But Xiaomi MI5S Plus has the fingerprint scanner on its back.
Xiaomi MI5S Plus has round fingerprint scanner module, which is similar to Redmi Pro.
In price, Xiaomi MI5S 64GB version sells at 1999 yuan, €265, ROM 128GB version at 2299 yuan, €310, Xiaomi MI5S Plus supports NFC, UFS 2.0, but it doesn’t support ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and use it on its back. Xiaomi Mi 5S Plus 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM is for 2299 yuan (about €310) and 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM is for 2599 yuan (about €350). Please remember it will start to sell on September 29.
