Redmi 8A Certified By TENAA With a Huge 5000mAh Battery

Only a month ago we witnessed the certification of Redmi 8. Now comes the official certification in China of Redmi 8A, the cheapest version of the mobile device. The smartphone was certified by the famous TENAA body and received a very precise model number, the M1908C3KE. We see all the details on the technical specifications of this new mobile device.

From the image that was diffused concerning the Redmi 8A, we discover that the smartphone’s structure is made of plastic. The Redmi brand is also present on the body in the front and lower than the rear chamber. Further down we find the expression ” designed by Xiaomi “, a reference to the manufacturer to which the Redmi brand belongs.

The list reveals that the phone will incorporate some important improvements over its predecessor. First, the screen has a large increase in size, going from the 5.45 inches of the Redmi 7A to 6.2 inches. The screen resolution is now 720 x 1520, although it is still HD+. This will be sad news for those who have always liked the series because of its small form factor, being comfortable to use terminals.

It will have an eight-core processor with a clock frequency of 2.0GHz under the hood. The Redmi 8A will come in variants of 2GB, 3GB, and 4GB of RAM. These will be complemented with 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB of internal storage respectively. The phone will support storage expansion through MicroSD cards, and TENAA says the maximum supported capacity will be 512GB.

On its back, a single 12MP camera will be present, as previously revealed in the images. In the same protective module of the camera is an LED flash below. Meanwhile, in its front part, it will have an 8MP sensor for self-portraits and video calls. The strange thing is that the list of TENAA says that there are a total of 3 cameras on the device.

The Redmi 8A will not only get a bigger screen but a bigger battery to match. TENAA says the battery capacity will be massively increased to 5000mAh. The phone runs Android 9 Pie just like its predecessor under the MIUI 10 customization layer.

The dimensions are given as 156.3 x 75.4 x 9.4mm and the weight is 188 grams. The list says it will come in black, red, blue, pink, white, green, purple, gray, but we know that only three or four color variants will be available.

There are unconfirmed reports that Xiaomi will announce the Mi MIX 4 on September 24. It is very unlikely that the Redmi 8A and Redmi 8 will be announced at the event. The Redmi 7A had a silent launch in May, the same could happen again with its successor.
