Google is ready to present its new Pixel 4 at a hardware event dated October 15. Among the list of new devices, it is rumored that the company will announce a new version of the Pixelbook, that premium Chromebook launched in 2017 that was out of the mold thanks to its powerful specifications and the ability to run Android applications natively.
According to 9To5Google, the new Pixelbook is not a successor, but rather update with less experimental features than the first version. Known as Pixelbook Go, this laptop would be more aligned to today’s Chromebooks, with a 13.3-inch screen with 4K resolution and a conventional laptop design that closes when not in use.
Google would have multiple hardware configurations planned, all with a 16: 9 aspect touch screen and with Full HD or 4K UHD resolution options, the latter similar to that of the Pixel Slate. A webcam capable of recording 1080p video at 60 frames per second and two front speakers will be offered on the front.
Inside it will have Intel Core m3, Core i5 and Core i7 processor options, 8GB, and 16GB RAM and 64GB, 128GB and 256 GB storage. In terms of connectivity, two USB-C ports, a 3.5mm jack, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and the Titan chip will be offered to manage security.
At the moment the price and availability are unknown, so we will have to wait until October 15 when Google officially reveals its new Pixel 4 and the renewed hardware line.
