Realme 5i will be the last device in the brand’s portfolio that is expected to be a bit more affordable due to the front camera and the less impressive rear panel design. It is allegedly already on sale in Vietnam at an online retailer, and today Flipkart revealed that it will offer the device in India and launch it on January 9 at 12:30 p.m. local time.
The Realme 5i has a lot in common with the Realme 5, such as the 5000mAh battery, the four-camera setup, the 6.5-inch Fullscreen screen and probably the Snapdragon 665 chip. Realme 5i will join Realme 5 and the usual Realme 5 Pro lineup, as the company aims to supplement each budget segment with its smartphones such as competition.
Realme 5i is the sales report in Vietnam for 4.29 million VND,(about US$185). That said, Realme 5i is expected to retail between Rs 7,999 and Rs 8,999 when it arrives in India later this week.
Going by the specs, Realme 5i is reported with a 6.52-inch Full HD + (1600 x 720 pixels) screen with a water cream cutout on top. The phone was teased to create a new “Sunrise Design”, which is a distance from the Crystal Design of Realme 5.
The phone is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset with an octa-core processor and Adreno 610 GPU. It is associated with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage, with the option to increase even more up to 256GB via microSD card.
The 5i has a rear-facing quad-camera setup, consisting of a 12MP, f / 1.8 primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-modern lens, a 2MP macro camera, and another 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera, which is a downgrade version of the 13MP selfie camera, found on Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro.
There is a fingerprint sensor on the back and the battery is 5000mAh. Realme 5i is expected to come in blue and green colors.
For now, there is no information about the official prices that will be practiced by the brand in making Realme 5i available, but it is expected that this information will be revealed soon, given that the company has officially confirmed its launch for January 9th.
