Huawei P40 and P40 Pro Detailed Specifications Revealed

There is already a sigh left for the introduction of Huawei’s new generation of high-end phones, the Huawei P40. The P40 Lite already appeared a few days ago but at least 3 models are still missing: the Huawei P40, the Huawei P40 Pro and the Huawei P40 Pro Premium Edition of which we already had a large-caliber leak just ten days ago.

Now it’s the turn of the two that we have yet to meet, the Huawei P40 and the Huawei P40 Pro. As expected, the two phones have almost completely leaked within a few days of their official presentation. We do not have the total of its characteristics but we do have the most important ones. And in case anyone doubted it: yes, both are 5G phones.

    The Huawei P40

The line of action of Huawei in previous years made us suppose that the processor presented for the Mate of the previous year would be chosen for the P of the beginning of this one, and according to the leak, it seems to have been fulfilled. The Kirin 990, along with the company’s 5G modem, is present in both the P40 and the P40 Pro, although the differences between the two models are seen at different levels. We go with each one of them.

We have the Huawei P40, which according to the leak will have a 6.1-inch AMOLED screen with a perforation on the top to hide the 32MP front camera, for this model and for the Pro. Under the hood, the aforementioned Kirin 990 Along with a 3800mAh battery that would charge a maximum of 40W with cable and 27W with wireless charging. Although we do not know yet whether or not it will have reverse wireless charging like previous models.

As for the rear cameras, the presence of a main 50MP sensor stands out, theoretically, a SuperSpectrum RYYB as in the previous generation, accompanied by two other cameras, one 16MP, and the other 8MP. The team would enjoy improved 30x digital zoom thanks to the Chinese firm’s XD Fusion Engine.

    The Huawei P40 Pro

We arrived at the Pro version that would grow in almost everything. For starters, its perforated AMOLED screen would reach 6.58 inches, and its battery would stretch to 4200mAh, maintaining the same fast charge for both cable and wireless pads: 40W and 27W. As in the case of its younger brother, here there is no leaked information about the versions of RAM and internal storage, so for that, it will be necessary to wait for a little.

In the rear cameras, we see another jump because we are talking about four cameras instead of three. Here we find the same 50MP RYYB sensor but the other two cameras would be 40MP and 12MP. Now offering a SuperSensing zoom of up to 50x, also with the Huawei XD Fusion Engine to improve the result. And the telephoto lens would have optical stabilization. But in addition, there would be a fourth sensor, a 3D TOF for depth readings.

The front camera of this Huawei P40 Pro would be identical to that of the P40 with one exception, the 32MP sensor would be accompanied by a second sensor, probably an additional 3D TOF, for depth readings. The photographic equipment would wear Leica-signed lenses, as in the case of the Huawei P40. It is expected that the two phones will land with Android 10 and without Google services. Although they do have Huawei Mobile Services on board.
