Google Pixel 5 has recently returned to the headlines following the release of a photo that portrayed it next to the Pixel 4a 5G. The new exponent of Google’s Pixel range is now back in the spotlight with two more photos that see him as the protagonist: a photo of the front and one of the rear.
The Mexican radio host Jose Antonio Ponton has been in charge of bringing these images to light and confirming the design that we had previously seen in leaks.
In the images, you can see how the terminal has a design that fuses the lines of the Pixel 4 with those of the Pixel 4a, to end up shaping a Pixel whose design, although not the most original, undoubtedly maintains the essence from the Pixel series.
The most striking thing about the image is the fact that on the screen that shows the information of the terminal, the name of the model is “Pixel 5s”, and not Pixel 5. Perhaps this addition refers to the inclusion –or the lack– of support for 5G networks of millimeter-wave –mmWave–.
For the rest, we come across the screen with hardly any frames perforated in its upper left part, which confirms the goodbye of the facial recognition system integrated in the Pixel 4.
Its rear is occupied by a capacitive fingerprint reader and a camera system that houses a total of three sensors: the main one, which will be the same 12MP IMX363 that the firm has been using for years, now accompanied by an ultra-wide angle. The flicker detection sensor is not missing either.
This is all we can glean from the images of the Google Pixel 5 leaked today. There is no doubt that it is a prototype of the terminal that should not have seen the light, and this is indicated by the modified logo that occupies what would be the position of the “G” of Google located on the back. What is also clear is that the Pixel 4a (5G) and Pixel 5 are very close, and will be cheaper than we imagined.
