Data from the cloud network Aowei show that Xiaomi water purifiers are the top sellers from January to June 2020. The first Xiaomi water purifier came out in 2015. Over the past 5 years, the company has introduced a range of products with different sizes and filtration levels that can produce from 2 liters of clean water per minute.
Yesterday, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Zhimi (SmartMi) announced that the new Xiaomi Mi Water Purifier H400G will go on sale on October 21. The biggest feature of the new product is the use of 6-stage dual-filter filtration, which is also the company’s first such product.
Currently, Xiaomi has released more than 10 water purification devices, which usually use 4-stage filtration, and some improved products use 5-stage. The filtration process of Mi Water Purifier H400G uses polypropylene, front carbon rod + scale inhibitor, RO reverse osmosis, and rear carbon rod. The filtered water has reached the level of packaged drinking water, which is more suitable for tea, soup, and cooking.
The current price of the 5-stage version of the Xiaomi Mi Water Purifier H400G is 1499 yuan (about $224), so the price of the new product should be higher. Anyways, Xiaomi has been focusing on this niche for a long time. And we are sure the new product will be another cost-effective model.
