    7‌ ‌Best‌ ‌iOS‌ ‌14‌ ‌Weather‌ ‌Widgets‌ ‌for‌ ‌iPhone‌ ‌12‌

iOS 14 brought a breath of fresh air to a rather boring iPhone home screen. The latest interaction of  iOS offers a neat-looking organized ios App Library and allows users to add resizable app widgets to the home screen. We have seen users floating social media with their perfect home screen setup. One of the common widget trends has been around weather apps that showcase more details than the outside temperature.

Make no mistake, the default Weather widget should get the job done for the majority out there. But it’s limited in terms of useful information and functionality. And here is where the third-party developers jump in.

The App Store is filled with Weather apps that take the experience to the next level with more information to glance at. We are talking about multiple location details, AQI levels, Wind Speeds, Humidity levels, UV Index, and more.

Are you still confused? Allow us to elaborate further. We have compiled a list of Weather apps that offer rich iOS 14 widgets on the iPhone home screen. Let’s get started with my go-to recommendation – ClimaCell Weather Assistant.

    1. ClimaCell Weather Assistant

ClimaCell is my perfect companion before stepping a foot outside the home. The app offers minute-by-minute and street-by-street hyper-accurate forecasts, rain and snow alerts, air quality maps, and wind speeds.

My favorite add-on is multiple location support in the app. For example, you can set home and workplace in ClimaCell and view both location’s live temperatures right from the home screen widget.

Speaking of ClimaCell’s iOS widget, it’s rich, functional, and delivers every possible weather detail. You can view live predictions like if there will be snow or rain in the next hour or not, AQI levels with their effects on you, current location, and of course temperature forecast for the rest of the day.

Other features include Health & Activities tab that showcase how today’s weather could affect your health, Google Calendar integration, and Stories tab for the latest news around the world.

ClimaCell is free to download and use. You can get the premium version that offers hyperlocal forecast, upgraded radar map, and an ad-free experience.

    2. SolarWatch

SolarWatch has a visual and minimal approach at heart. The app comes with a beautiful user interface and showcases weather conditions and day and night cycles at your current location and thousands of global locations around the world.

The current weather is shown at the center while the weather for the next 24 hours is displayed around the solar wheel in a very natural and intuitive fashion.

SolarWatch has one of the best looking weather widgets out there. You can witness a nice live temperature graph for the day, first light, sunrise, sunset, and last light time of the day. Such details allow you to plan your photoshoots accurately or see if your next home gets enough sunlight.

SolarWatch is free to download. It’s available on Apple Watch as well. The company offers extra features such as alarms based on solar events and a golden hour display as part of the SolarWatch Gold Subscription.

    3. Weather Line

Weather Line has the most-detailed weather widget out there. The iOS 14 widgets are neatly designed and cramps every little detail without making it crowded.

The large-sized widget shows details such as rain prediction, dew point, humidity, pressure, sunrise, sunset time, wind speed, UV index, cloud cover, and AQI (Air Quality Index) levels.

Weather Line focuses on customization to stand out from the crowd. You can choose from 18 different themes, over 50 app icons, and 4 different dark modes to personalize the experience. Neat, isn’t it?

Other features include a 10-day forecast, looping HD Radar, Moon phases, real-time precipitation, and more.

    4. Hello Weather

Hello, Weather takes a simple approach to deliver weather details to the user. The iconography, presentations, and final implementation is spot on. The app uses simple language and graphics to display all the relevant weather details for the day.

As for the iOS 14 widget, you can view the live location as well as a clear bar graph that shows hourly weather details for the day. The company could have added more details to the widget though.

Apart from that, Hello Weather packs a live Radar map, and you can buy the premium version to unlock Apple Watch integration, theming and customization options, and more. Go ahead, give it a try and see if it fits your usage or not.

    5. Hey Weather

Hey Weather primarily focuses on widget functionality with several customization options. The app provides the new widget feature introduced in iOS 14. There are tons of icons, colors, and styles available for you to personalize widgets.

The app lets you add up to 10 cities to monitor your desired location’s weather details. One can also choose different widget sizes for each location.

Apart from temperature details, you can view AQI levels, wind speed, Humidity, UV Index, Pressure, and Dew Point right from the app’s home screen.

If you are purely looking to try a weather app based on its widget functionality then I would strongly recommend you to give Hey Weather a try.

    6. Weather Widget

As the name suggests, the Weather Widget app is all about iOS 14 widgets. You can place widgets with different backgrounds and one can even add their photo behind the weather widget. That way, you have complete control over the look of the widget and match the other app icons as well as wallpaper on the device.

Weather widget showcases temperature, humidity, wind info, sunrise, sunset, UV index, rain info, and cloud cover.

The free version is limited in terms of customization. You will have to pay for the subscription to unlock all the features.

    7. Widgetsmith

iOS 14 update opened doors for a new category of apps that allow you to create widgets from scratch. One such solution is Widgetsmith. If you are not a fan of other weather widgets and want to take matters into your hands then go ahead and create a customized weather widget using Widgetsmith.

Widgetsmith lets you build your own widgets by pulling information from Weather, Calendar, Reminders, Photos, and Health. You get to choose widget sizes, modify font types, change background colors, and so on. It also lets you schedule widgets to appear on the Home screen at different times of the day.

Get Weather Details on Home Screen

Go through the apps list above and place some beautiful weather widgets on your iPhone home screen. As for me, I’m sticking with ClimaCell now. But what about you? Which app are you inclining towards?
