According to @rodent950, Huawei will release a number of Kirin E processors, and the P40 Lite E will feature some of the new Kirin E processors in several variants.
According to the blogger, a revamped version of the P40 Lite E will have a different processor. When asked if it was the Kirin 710E, the blogger replied that it was the Kirin 820E and the Kirin 985E.
It is worth mentioning that recently, the domestic digital blogger @digital chat station exposed the configuration information of Huawei Nova7 SE Le Letterpress. The Huawei Nova7 SE Letterhead features a 6.5-inch 2400×1080 resolution +60Hz display and a Kirin 820E 5G processor.
Thus, the Kirin 820E and Kirin 985E processors should be real.
Speaking of the Kirin E processor, the first thing that comes to mind is the Kirin 9000 and Kirin 9000E, and what are the differences between these two processors, big or small?
It is understood that Kirin 9000 and Kirin 9000E both use TSMC 5nm manufacturing process, CPU, baseband, ISP and so on have not been adjusted, the main difference in GPU and NPU.
Specifically, on the CPU side, both are 8-core designs: a 3.13GHz Cortex-A77 supercore, three 2.54GHz Cortex-A77 supercores, and four 2.05GHz Cortex-A55 energy-efficient cores.
On the GPU side, the Kirin 9000E was reduced from the Kirin 9000’s 24-core Mali-G78 to 22 cores, and the NPU was reduced from 2 large cores +1 small cores to 1 large core +1 small core.
In terms of metrics, the overall performance of the Kirin 9000 will be slightly higher than that of the Kirin 9000E, but since NPUs are rarely used in everyday software, the overall impact will not be significant.

In this case, the Kirin 820E/985E should not be too different from the Kirin 820/985 in performance, should be a “downcaged version”.
