Traditional video conferences are usually bulky, complex in connection, and expensive. Today, Xiaomi officially announced that its first remote conferencing device, which was named Xiaomi Audio and Video Conference Speaker, provides a brand-new solution for remote conferencing scenarios.
The design of the Xiaomi Audio and Video Conference Speaker is very similar to the soundbars of the company, but the device is distinguished by the presence of a camera for video calls, which is located in the center of the case. It is not large in size and should be easy to deploy.
It is understood that the first audio and video conference speaker of the brand is equipped with an 8-core 14-nanometer Qualcomm APQ8053 chip, with 4K ultra-clear images and clear call quality. The camera has a viewing angle of 120 degrees and can recognize users from a distance of up to 5 meters.
The Xiaomi Audio and Video Conference Speaker will be available for purchase in China from 10th June at 10:00 AM onwards, for a price of 1999 yuan (around $313). So far, the Chinese company has not revealed the detailed specifications of the product, but we will get to know more about this tomorrow as the device is set to go on sale in China from 10th June.
