Zero Zero Robotics recently announced its newest drone with a unique look, the ZEROZERO V-Coptr RC Drone. Indeed, this V-shaped bi-helicopter does not look like the traditional four-blade drone, because it only has two motors and two propellers. The V-Coptr Falcon can fly for up to 50 minutes with a transmission distance of 7km, can dodge obstacles, and features a 3-axis 4K stabilized camera. Let’s take a closer look!

Design
Immediately, what catches your eye is the unusual appearance of the drone. The so-called V-shaped twin-rotor power plant (as the manufacturer calls it) is really impressive. At first it seems that this is some kind of copter from a science fiction movie, but it is not. At the same time, Zero Zero Robotics claims that this very system is more efficient than that of standard drones of the same size with the same payload. A strong claim, but one that still needs to be tested.
The flight of this design is ensured by the patented technology of tilting the rotor. In conjunction with non-linear dynamic simulation and control algorithms, the V-Coptr Falcon is able to provide up to 50 minutes of stable flight with high maneuverability in ideal conditions. And due to the slower rotation of the propellers and their patented design, lift is created with higher efficiency and less noise (again, compared to the quadcopters we are used to). the brainchild of Zero Zero Robotics clearly loses to the latest mini (dimensions – 220.6 mm x 148.26 mm x 72.38 mm, weight – 760 grams). As for the Autel Robotics copters, unfortunately, they are far from the level of the EVO II models in terms of photo and video capabilities.
Camera
The ZEROZERO V-Coptr is equipped with a 12MP main camera that allows it to take 4K video at 30fps in standard mode. It also incorporates two other cameras that are used to detect obstacles and avoid them. The whole is completed by an internal memory of 8 GB, expandable via a microSD card (up to 256 GB).
Connectivity
However, with a video transmission range of up to 7 kilometers (4.3 miles) and longer flight times, the V-Coptr Falcon is more about getting all those long-distance shots you couldn’t get with other drones or making sure to get all the angles you want with a single flight. Plus, unlike the company’s Hover models, you’ll get a full (but still compact) controller with a flip-up mount for your phone so you can use it to see what you’re shooting and control the camera and other settings.
Sensors
The Falcon’s sensor can record video stabilized by a 3-axis gimbal in up to 4K UHD at 30 frames per second, and in FullHD up to 120 fps. The videos are recorded as MP4 files, and there is no information on the maximum bitrate at this time. Additionally, the Falcon can take photos in JPEG/RAW (DNG) at 12MP resolution.
Battery
ZEROZERO V-Coptr comes with a 4500 mAh battery that promises to keep the drone in the air for about 50 minutes, the highest autonomy in this product profile, through the two tilting motors present in the device.
