Before ten days we told you here about the new version of Redmi Note 4X, that would have a Snapdragon CPU, the Snapdragon 653, to be more exact. Now we found out at the US FCC page that a new Xiaomi mobile appeared. Could that be a Snapdragon version of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 that Xiaomi first announced to us in August 2016 or is it a new version of the Redmi family, a Xiaomi Redmi Note 5!?
As we can see, this new version of Xiaomi mobile is said to have appeared on the US FCC website where it received certification. At the image we can see a basic image of the device, which looks alike the Redmi Note 4, but not the same dimensions. Redmi Note 4 it’s dimensions are 76.0 mm x 151.0 mm x 8.4 mm, so we see this model is almost the same (75 x 150mm). That’s why we say that this could also be a new Redmi Note model! According to the information gathered from the images, this new model of Xiaomi will have a 5.5-inch display with one rear camera and a fingerprint sensor under it. The device is equipped with a 4,000mAh battery under its hood with 5v, 2A charging support, features that are not for fast charging technology.
The phone could come with a Snapdragon chip like Snapdragon 652. However, at this moment, the specs of this particular are not very clear.
Xiaomi’s Redmi series have come out in many variants, with various processors and at variant prices. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 came as a successor to the highly successful Redmi Note 3. The only problem was that came out only with MTK SoC, so many users where waiting for the Snapdragon version. I guess this gap came to fill in the Redmi Note 4X. So I don’t know if this is a different version of Redmi Note 4 or a new version, Redmi Note 5, with Snapdragon from the beginning. The device may likely be launched at the MWC 2017.
