Carl Pein’s new company, Nothing, one of the founding members of OnePlus, will unveil the company’s first smartphone this summer under the name Nothing Phone (1). The company has already begun to hint at an upcoming release, but rumors could be expected to be released only in late July.
Today, Network insider Ben Geskin, who regularly posts interesting concept art and renders based on rumors and various leaks, has posted his vision of what Nothing Phone 1 could look like.
As we can see in the shared image, Nothing Phone (1) will get a hole for the front camera in the upper center of the screen. The back panel can be transparent, which, together with the location of the camera modules, evokes associations with Xiaomi Mi 8 Transparent Explorer Edition.
On the other hand, the image apparently comes from Nothing’s own YouTube video, where Tom Howard, head of the company’s design team, talks about the design principles for the upcoming device.
The video shows a very inaccurate glance at the Nothing Phone (1), which, however, reveals the overall look. On the front is a display panel with a hole for the front camera at the top. The screen is probably completely flat. The back is clearly less visible, but a dual camera is seen in the upper left corner. The color of the phone is light.
Expected Specs of Nothing Phone (1)
Some previously leaked features showed that the phone will be positioned in the middle segment. Nothing Phone 1 will feature a 6.43-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and 90Hz scanning rate. We will see Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 or Snapdragon 778G in the processor unit of the phone. The phone, which will have a 50MP main camera on the back, is expected to have a battery of 4500mAh.
Price and Release Date
According to the German technology site, the price of the phone will be €499. Meanwhile, Carl Pei has already confirmed that the company’s first smartphone will debut in the summer. While, the German technology site also stated that, Nothing Phone (1) will be released on July 21.
