Xiaomi is continuously producing more and more mobiles, mid-range or flagships. To be honest, I really have lost counting…. Now I see it was just spotted an other mobile from Xiaomi. The first mobile that the company released for this year before some days, was the Redmi Note 4X. Of course we all are waiting for the Xiaomi Mi6 that was supposed to be announced yesterday, but it seems will go a little further on. Today I learned something, that is showing an other Xiaomi model is about to be released before Mi6 official announcement. At some documents of TEENA that were leaked, a new Xiaomi mobile is mentioned. This mobile doesn’t have a name yet, but has the codename MAE136. So what is this MAE136 that appeared!?
From the specs that we read from the document, I could say that we are dealing with the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi 5. The mobile has a T-style design and at the rear side we see the fingerprint scanner. The mobile seems to be made out of metal, as almost all Xiaomi mobiles nowadays.
The dimensions of the MAE136 are 139.24 × 69.94 × 8.65mm. What else we see is that features a 5 inch screen, supports dual-SIM, dual standby and the battery is 4000mAh. We don’t have any data for RAM/ROM, but my guess is 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage, with probably a variation of 3GB RAM, but still these are my speculations.
Alright you say, yes form the dimensions, the design and the specs shown till now, this could be Redmi 5. But what about Redmi 4A!? Sure, in order to have a new model, this model must be better for the old one’s. Unfortunately there is no data about the SoC or the memory, so we have to wait and see what it will come up as a rumor or the official announcement from Xiaomi. Since it appeared at TEENA, it won’t take long to be officially released.
