Huawei P70 Ultra Concept: Everything You Need to Know

The launch of the Huawei P60 series has received a highly positive response from consumers. One standout feature that has captured attention is the addition of the variable aperture, which has significantly enhanced the camera capabilities of the Huawei P60 Pro, placing it well ahead of its competitors. However, one disappointment for many Huawei enthusiasts is the lack of 5G support in the Huawei P60 Pro. In the past, there was a workaround involving the use of a 5G mobile phone case, which allowed the Huawei P60 Pro to access 5G networks. In an attempt to address this issue, Huawei has unveiled a new phone, the Huawei P70 Ultra, which employs an external 5G solution to overcome this limitation.

In terms of design, the Huawei P70 Ultra introduces fresh ideas that appeal to consumers. For instance, the back of the phone boasts a rear camera and a 2-inch secondary screen, a rarity among Huawei smartphones. With the exception of foldable devices, this is the first time a traditional smartphone has featured a secondary screen. Furthermore, the design philosophy of the Huawei P70 Ultra harkens back to previous iterations in terms of the size and quantity of rear cameras.

As Huawei’s flagship imaging model, the Huawei P70 Ultra now sports three rear cameras, with the main camera upgraded to a whopping 200 megapixels. The periscope telephoto lens has been enhanced to 64 megapixels, while the ultra-wide-angle camera remains at 5000 CMOS. While Huawei does not blindly pursue larger camera sensors, the market dominance of smartphones equipped with 1-inch sensors has necessitated the inclusion of a 1-inch IMX989 sensor in the Huawei P70 Ultra to keep up with the strong imaging performance offered by other brands.

With the introduction of the 2-inch secondary screen, the Huawei P70 Ultra boldly does away with the front camera altogether. Instead, it leverages the rear cameras to enable selfie capture and other related processes. Although this design concept has already appeared in other smartphones, it contributes to a more complete screen and enhances the immersive experience. The screen resolution of the Huawei P70 Ultra reaches 2K, and it incorporates 3840PWM high-frequency dimming. Additionally, the third-generation LTPO supports a high refresh rate of 165 Hz, resulting in an exceptional display.

In terms of performance, while the Huawei P70 Ultra lacks a Kirin chip, the combination of the Snapdragon 8Gen3 processor and the Hongmeng 4.0 operating system ensures a smooth user experience. Moreover, Huawei has implemented a 5G network solution for the P70 Ultra, achieved by plugging in a 5G module. Despite this being a stopgap measure, Huawei’s expertise in 5G technology enables them to effectively address numerous connectivity issues. Additionally, the Huawei P70 Ultra boasts a high-density battery, with an upgraded capacity of 5500 mAh. It supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, further enhancing its overall performance. It’s safe to say that Huawei fans will truly appreciate these advancements.

However, until the official release of the Huawei P70 Ultra, the Huawei P60 Pro remains an excellent choice for those in search of a Huawei smartphone. The P60 Pro features a ten-speed variable aperture, supports Beidou satellite two-way communication, offers a 1-120 Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate, and is powered by a 4815 mAh battery that supports 88W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Furthermore, it incorporates several cutting-edge hardware designs. Moreover, the Huawei P60 Pro has only recently entered the market, and with a promotional price reduction of 800 yuan, it is currently the most cost-effective Huawei smartphone available.

In conclusion, Huawei’s P60 series has impressed consumers with its innovative features, particularly the variable aperture that significantly improves camera performance. The Huawei P60 Pro, despite lacking 5G support, still holds tremendous value for Huawei enthusiasts, given its advanced hardware designs and attractive price point. Looking ahead, the P70 Ultra aims to address the 5G limitation by utilizing an external 5G solution, along with introducing new design elements such as a secondary screen. With upgraded camera capabilities, improved display quality, and powerful performance, the Huawei P70 Ultra is poised to deliver an exceptional user experience.
