According to newskakaku reported on August 8, British American Tobacco (BAT) Japan branch announced the launch of a new standard model heated tobacco equipment glo HYPER.
The new glo HYPER uses HEATBOOST technology, the latest heating technology of the flagship glo HYPER pro, to achieve a maximum heating temperature of 300 degrees. It also comes with a “TASTE SELECT knob” that can select different heating modes and maintains a “premium design” but is more affordable.
In addition, the “EASYVIEW screen” equipped with the flagship model is changed to a simple “LED light”, so that the charging margin and heating process and other equipment status is clear.
The standard mode has a heating time of 4 minutes and 30 seconds, 30 seconds longer than the previous model (4 minutes). Charging time is also shorter than the previous model, with a full charge time of about 90 minutes. One fast charge can be heated up to 20 times.
The dimensions of the equipment are 36.4mm (width) ×95.4mm (height) ×21mm (thickness), and the weight is 86.7 grams. The fuselage comes in graphite black, malachite green and rose gold.
The product, priced at 2,480 yen, will be available in online stores from August 6, in major convenience stores and major supermarkets nationwide from August 26, and in tobacco specialty stores from September 2.
