Igeekphone News, July 9th: ZDNet Korea, a South Korean media outlet, published a blog post yesterday (July 8th), reporting that Samsung has mass-produced the flexible OLED panel used in the Galaxy S25 FE smartphone this month and plans to release the phone in September this year. The phone will have a thinner body and a narrower screen border.
In terms of thickness, compared with 8.0 millimeters of the Galaxy S24 FE phone (with a rigid panel), the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE phone is reduced to 7.4 millimeters due to the adoption of a flexible OLED panel and optimization of other components.

Igeekphone Note: OLED panels are classified into rigid (using a robust substrate) and flexible (the screen can be bent flexibly) based on different application technologies. Because flexible OLeds are thinner or have higher design freedom than rigid OLeds, they are mainly used in flagship smartphones, and accordingly, their unit prices are also higher.
According to data released by market research firm Omdia, the shipment volume of smartphones with flexible OLED screens in the first quarter of 2025 was 151 million units, representing a year-on-year growth of 15%. Its share in the entire smartphone market also steadily increased to 50%. The market share of LCD and rigid OLED smartphones has generally shown a downward trend.

In terms of design, the bezel of the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE mobile phone will be narrower. This device will be equipped with a 6.7-inch screen with a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz, featuring an OLED panel. The estimated resolution is the same as the previous generation, at 2340*1080.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE mobile phone has previously appeared in the GeekBench benchmark library, equipped with an Exynos 2400 processor, 8GB of memory and the Android 16 operating system.

In terms of battery, this device is estimated to be equipped with a 4700mAh battery and support 45W charging. In terms of imaging, it is equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens on the back, and a 12-megapixel front camera for selfies.
