Igeekphone News, November 12th: Tech media 9to5Mac published a blog post yesterday (November 11th), reporting that Apple released the Xcode 26.1.1 version update, mainly focusing on fixing a series of vulnerabilities. And it has significantly optimized the performance of its full “Coding Intelligence” AI coding assistance function.
Igeekphone quoted a blog post as saying that the core of this update is to fix the performance and stability of the “Code Intelligence” feature, and at the same time add support for Swift 6.2.1. According to the update log released by Apple, the new version focuses on addressing four major issues:
Firstly, the memory usage issue of “Coding Assistant” when handling large Git projects has been significantly improved.
Secondly, the bug that the coding tool might fail in the source code editor under specific circumstances has been fixed.

Third, the defect that the text search tool within the file might return incorrect line numbers has been corrected;
Finally, and a point that has drawn much attention from developers, the performance when interacting with ChatGPT in Xcode has been optimized, and the lag issue that may occur when the application code is modified has been resolved.
In addition to the improvement of AI functions, Xcode 26.1.1 has also fixed several other issues that affected development efficiency. This includes a stubborn vulnerability that has prevented the completion of the back-end indexing for some projects.
In addition, this update provides developers with a more reliable and smoother overall development environment. Fix and improve multiple components such as CallKit, Instruments, Interface Builder, localization, preview, simulator, Swift package, Swift test, and Xcode Cloud.
In addition to bug fixes, Apple has also brought developers a practical new feature. Now, developers can directly collect the complete system diagnostic log (sysdiagnose) from the connected iPhone or other Apple devices by running the new command xcrun devicectl device sysdiagnose in the terminal. This feature will greatly simplify the debugging and diagnosis process of device issues, helping developers more quickly locate and resolve anomalies at the hardware or system level.
