Igeekphone News, December 18th: The OnePlus 15R phone has been released overseas and will be available for sale on January 15th next year.
The OnePlus 15R is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 mobile platform, paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X memory and a powerful 360-degree ice cooling system. The new model is equipped with a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display that supports an adaptive refresh rate of up to 165Hz.
The new phone is equipped with a 7400 mah battery, which is of a “giant” level. It adopts the “silicon nano-stacking” technology, accommodating such a large battery within a body thickness of only 8.1 millimeters, without making the phone as heavy as a brick.

This model supports 80W SuperVOOC Flash charging technology. Oneplus claims that it can be charged to 50% in about 22 minutes. It is worth mentioning that the official also promises that this battery can still maintain a healthy capacity of over 80% after four years.
In terms of camera configuration, the OnePlus 15R is equipped with a 50-megapixel SONY IMX906 main camera that supports optical image stabilization, and is also paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. This device has removed the telephoto lens, while last year’s OnePlus 13R was still equipped with this lens. This might cause dissatisfaction among some users. However, the brand-new ultra-clear resolution engine can strongly optimize 2x digital zoom and night scene shooting effects, making up for this shortcoming.
In terms of software, the OnePlus 15R is equipped with OxygenOS 16, which is developed based on Android 16. This system deeply integrates the “OnePlus Smart Hub” function, which is an artificial intelligence tool with situational awareness capabilities. The official promises to provide four years of system update support.

The OnePlus 15R is equipped with triple protection certifications of IP66, IP68 and IP69, which means it can withstand the erosion of water at 80℃ high temperature and high pressure.
The OnePlus 15R starts at $699.99 (Igeekphone Note: approximately 4,934 yuan at the current exchange rate) or £649 (approximately 6,132 yuan at the current exchange rate), and is equipped with 256GB of storage capacity. There is also a version equipped with 512GB of storage, priced at $799.99 (approximately 5,639 yuan at the current exchange rate) / £729 (approximately 6,888 yuan at the current exchange rate).
