Igeekphone News, May 13th: Xiaomi suddenly announced the launch of a new pair of headphones today. They merely stated that it is a completely new design, without revealing the specific appearance. However, this has sparked great interest among people.
This event was officially announced by Xiaomi’s CEO Luo Weibing through a blog post. The accompanying picture featured the words “New Form” in large letters, clearly indicating that this was an exciting new product that would be launched soon.

The most reliable speculation at present is that this is Xiaomi’s first ear-clip type headphones. Previously, Xiaomi only had in-ear, semi-ear and open-ear models, and had never produced ear-clip models. This new form is likely to fill this gap.
From the exposed partial pictures, we can get some clues. The charging box is slightly open, and there are two grooves inside. One of the grooves is flat at the opening, and the earpiece handle has a curvature, which is very similar to the structure of ear-cup headphones. These ear-cup headphones do not need to be inserted into the ear canal; they are fixed by the earlobe. They are not uncomfortable to wear for a long time and can clearly hear the surrounding environment. They are suitable for both exercising and commuting.
It is reported that this new product is highly likely to be officially unveiled at the Xiaomi press conference on May 21st. It will also be integrated into the Xiaomi Paiming Intelligent Link ecosystem, making it easier to interact with the phone and the smartwatch.
Now we are just waiting for the official announcement of the details. If it is indeed an ear clip type, Xiaomi will officially enter this popular market. If the price is reasonable, it should attract many buyers.
