iGEEKPHONE June 16th: Microsoft has officially launched the new 13-inch Surface Pro and Surface Laptop series products, both equipped with the Snapdragon X2 processor. The suggested retail prices for both models start at 12,988 yuan. They are now available for purchase across the board, and the commercial version will be released gradually on July 14th.
In terms of performance, all models are equipped with the Snapdragon X2 processor and a dedicated NPU. The graphics capabilities have significantly improved compared to the previous generation. The graphics performance of Surface Pro has been maximally enhanced by 53%, and that of Surface Laptop by 58%.
The equipment can smoothly run local AI tasks, and at the same time supports seamless switching between on-device and cloud-based AI workflows. Combined with a deeply optimized Windows system, it can easily handle various loads such as model computing, creative design, and intelligent office work.
The 13-inch Surface Pro maintains the classic two-in-one design. The screen can be equipped with an OLED panel, offering precise colors and excellent contrast, making it suitable for creative tasks such as drawing and photo editing.
The overall battery life can last up to 15.5 hours. It comes in three color options: Platinum Gold, Classic Black, and Sandman Gold. It is equipped with a new color Flex keyboard and a touch pen, allowing for seamless switching between tablet and laptop modes. The operation features a delicate tactile feedback.
The Surface Laptop has launched two versions with 13.8-inch and 15-inch screens. All models come with LCD high-definition screens. The 15-inch model has upgraded pixel density to 262 PPI, resulting in a more refined visual experience.
The 13.8-inch model now comes with an emerald green color option, providing a wider range of design choices; this device is equipped with a notebook camera ranked among the top by DXOMARK, delivering excellent performance for video conferences.
The battery life performance is outstanding. The 13.8-inch version can last up to 20 hours, and the 15-inch version can reach 19 hours, meeting the needs of all-day office work.
Both of the two new models are made of high-recycled aluminum for the body, adhering to the sustainable design concept and obtaining the ENERGY STAR energy efficiency certification, demonstrating excellent energy consumption performance.
At the same time, the Surface Repair Tool (a guided repair tool) is pre-installed. It enables autonomous detection and repair of components such as batteries, screens, and touchpads, thereby extending the lifespan of the device.
