iGEEKPHONE July 2nd: DJI has officially launched the DJI Mic Mini 2S wireless earloop microphone. It continues the series’ 12-gram ultra-light body design. The package price starts at 629 yuan, and the standalone unit is 399 yuan.
The new product addresses the shortcomings of the previous generation, integrating professional-level internal recording, four-channel audio capture, and AI noise reduction functions into the price range of one thousand yuan. It is designed to provide a lightweight and complete audio capture tool for creators of short videos, interviews, and live broadcasts.

One of the major highlights of this product is its built-in 14.5GB storage space, which supports 32-bit floating-point recording. With the default settings, it can continuously record for 28 hours.
Even if the wireless connection is lost, the audio materials can still be completely retained. The transmitter can also be used as a voice recorder independently when disconnected from the receiver. The charging box has a maximum transmission speed of 34MB/s, which can significantly reduce the time required for exporting the materials.

The dynamic range has been significantly expanded, allowing both high and low volume materials to be fully retained. At the same time, it provides both raw and processed recording files, offering ample room for adjustment in the later creative process.
The reception capability has been significantly upgraded. Each receiver can connect up to four transmitters. It supports single-channel, stereo, and independent four-channel outputs. The Mimo App’s secure audio track function is used to avoid loud noises.
The equipment is compatible with both the Mic Mini and the Mini 2 old transmitters, allowing for cross-generation mixing. Users can simply add additional components to expand multi-person audio reception, thereby reducing the upgrade cost.

The computing power of the chip has been upgraded. It is equipped with a self-developed noise reduction model by DJI, which can distinguish between strong and weak levels of AI noise reduction. In quiet indoor environments, the weak level can be used to eliminate the noise of air conditioners and reverberation. In outdoor noisy environments, the strong level can be activated to suppress the traffic and wind sounds. It is also paired with two sets of automatic gain control: explosion-proof sound and loudness balance. There are also three sound color settings: regular, full, and bright, which can be switched on the fly to cover various shooting environments such as live streaming, stage performances, and outdoor scenes.
The transmitter is equipped with a rotatable magnetic clip. The magnetic front cover comes with a basic black-and-white model and eight color-changing replacement parts. It also collaborates with an illustrator to launch a limited edition artistic magnetic cover, along with a multi-color windproof fur sleeve. The new storage box can store the entire set of microphones, cables, clips and other accessories. When opened, it automatically pairs and charges upon entering the box. At the same time, a dedicated charging box for mobile phones is also launched.
The battery performance is sufficient. The transmitter can be used for 11 hours at a time, and the receiver for 10 hours. The overall fully charged battery can last up to 40 hours. A 5-minute fast charge can support one hour of recording. The wireless transmission range can reach up to 400 meters.
Deeply compatible with the DJI Osmo imaging ecosystem, it can directly connect to multiple types of action cameras and pocket cameras without the need for a receiver. The device can be started and stopped by pressing the microphone button. Audio and video materials will be automatically synchronized.
The receiver is compatible with mobile phones, cameras and computers. When connected to a Sony camera, it can achieve four-way digital audio reception and share power supply. The transmitter can also be directly connected to mobile phone live streaming software via Bluetooth.
