Lenovo IdeaPad Vibe has officially debuted at IFA 2026 as a new mainstream laptop series available in 14-inch and 15-inch sizes. Starting at $699, the lineup is designed for students, families, and everyday users. Lenovo plans to launch the AMD Ryzen AI 400 models in October, with Snapdragon X versions following in November, while Intel configurations are expected to arrive later.
The IdeaPad Vibe stands out with a strong focus on personalization. Lenovo is offering the laptop in seven Pantone-inspired colors: Dreamy Violet, Spicy Gold, Zen Green, Chill Blue, Radiant Coral, Moody Blue, and Lowkey Grey. The metal-bodied laptop weighs from 1.3kg, depending on the configuration.
One of the more unusual features is the ability to swap the keyboard keycaps. Users can choose keycaps that match the laptop’s body or create a contrasting color combination, giving the IdeaPad Vibe a more customizable look than most conventional laptops.
IdeaPad Vibe Display and Hardware
Display options include an IPS panel with a 120Hz laptop displays, while the OLED configuration is available only in the Lowkey Grey and Moody Blue colors. The OLED option supports up to 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, making it better suited to users who care about color reproduction.
Hardware configurations vary by platform. The Snapdragon X version supports up to 24GB of memory, while AMD Ryzen AI laptops 400 models can reach 32GB RAM thanks to two memory slots. Storage can be configured with up to a 1TB SSD, while battery options include 50Wh and 65Wh capacities.
Connectivity is another strong point. The IdeaPad Vibe includes two USB Type-A ports and two USB Type-C ports, although all four are limited to 5Gbps transfer speeds. Lenovo also includes HDMI, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a microSD card slot, giving the laptop a broader selection of physical ports than some thin competitors.
Lenovo Qira Adds AI Features
On the software side, the IdeaPad Vibe comes with Lenovo’s Qira AI assistant on selected configurations. Through integration with Workato, Qira can connect with services such as email, calendars, and collaboration applications, allowing users to perform cross-app tasks using natural-language commands.
However, Qira is not included with every configuration. The entry-level $699 model is expected to come with only 8GB of memory, partly reflecting current memory costs, which could limit its performance for demanding local AI workloads.
Lenovo IdeaCentre AIO i Also Debuts
Alongside the IdeaPad Vibe, Lenovo has introduced the IdeaCentre AIO i all-in-one desktop. It features an Intel Core Ultra 300-series processor and a 27-inch display, with color options matching the IdeaPad Vibe lineup.
The desktop also comes with a matching keyboard and mouse and is expected to launch in November, starting at $939.
