Gaming laptops are becoming more capable, but high-end hardware can quickly push prices beyond the reach of students and first-time buyers. CHUWI is targeting that gap with its new GTBook X, a 15.6-inch gaming laptop equipped with an Intel Core 7 230H processor and a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU.
The company is positioning the GTBook X as a more accessible option for gaming, schoolwork, productivity, and AI-related applications. It combines a 144Hz display, upgradeable memory and storage, and a broad selection of ports while keeping the listed starting price at $999.

RTX 3050 Graphics With a Higher-Power Configuration
At the center of the GTBook X’s gaming capabilities is an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU with 4GB of GDDR6 VRAM. CHUWI lists an 80W Total Graphics Power configuration, while the system can allocate additional power to the GPU through NVIDIA Dynamic Boost when operating in Turbo Mode.
The company says the laptop can reach up to 140W of combined CPU and GPU power when connected to AC power with its included 180W adapter. In this configuration, the CPU can operate at up to 45W, while the GPU can reach up to 95W with Dynamic Boost.
The RTX 3050 also brings dedicated second-generation ray-tracing cores and third-generation Tensor Cores. These technologies support features such as real-time ray tracing and DLSS in compatible games, while Tensor hardware can also assist with certain creative and AI workloads.

Intel Core 7 230H Powers the GTBook X
CHUWI pairs the dedicated graphics with the Intel Core 7 230H, a processor introduced in the first quarter of 2026.
The chip uses a hybrid CPU architecture with 6 Performance cores and 4 Efficient cores, providing a total of 10 cores and 16 threads. It can reach a maximum clock speed of 5.2GHz and includes 24MB of Intel Smart Cache.
CHUWI also cites a PassMark score of 24,533 for the processor, compared with 17,627 for the AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS and 23,357 for the Intel Core i7-13620H. Benchmark figures can vary depending on the test environment and configuration, so real-world performance should ultimately be judged through independent testing.
For users who need one machine for gaming and productivity, the combination of the Core 7 230H and RTX 3050 gives the GTBook X considerably more flexibility than a laptop relying solely on integrated graphics.
Cooling Designed for Sustained Performance

To address this, the GTBook X uses a cooling assembly built around four heat pipes, two high-speed fans, and dense copper fins. The system is designed to move heat away from the CPU and GPU while maintaining the laptop’s higher-power operating modes.

The standard configuration includes 16GB of DDR4-3200 dual-channel memory and a 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD. Rather than permanently soldering these components to the motherboard, CHUWI provides two SO-DIMM slots and two M.2 2280 storage slots.
The memory can be expanded to 64GB, using two 32GB modules, while the dual M.2 slots support PCIe 4.0 ×4 storage. CHUWI lists support for configurations of up to 2TB.

144Hz Full HD Display for Gaming
