According to new rumors, all 3 Moto G6 smartphones get a front-filling screen. The company will release the new budget smartphones at the end of this month. Last month came out that the trio would have screens with regular aspect ratios of 16.9.According to information published, however, this does not seem to be true. The trio is equipped with 18.9 screens.
This means that the screen is elongated and the edges are smaller. This gives you more room for displaying apps, movies, and games. The resolution is also made slightly higher, which gives a sharper image. In 2017, we saw full-screen screens breaking through: the Samsung Galaxy S8 has a screen that covers almost the entire front.
According to the source – Andri Yatim (@HeyAndri) who took to Twitter to reveal the details, The Moto G6 Plus is as expected the largest and most powerful of the bunch. Under the body, he is presumably driven by the Snapdragon 630, a middle-class processor from Qualcomm. The regular G6 and Play versions have a Snapdragon 450 and 430 respectively.
The Moto G5S released in 2017 also uses the latter processor. On paper, all devices are fast enough to run all apps and games without any problems. The Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play have a 5.7-inch screen, while the Plus is a beat larger and measures 5.93 inches. Due to the relatively small screen edges, Motorola hopes to keep them handy.
In terms of battery capacity, the G6 Plus is not the most extensive of the bunch. This honor is reserved for the G6 Play. According to the rumors, this device gets a hefty 4000 mAh battery, similar to the Moto E4 Plus last year. This is basically enough to be able to do up to two days with one full battery charge. The regular G6 and G6 Plus get batteries with capacities of 3000 and 3250 mAh.
Further information is currently missing. We do not know how much memory and which cameras Motorola will use. We do know the estimated recommended prices. The G6 Play is the most friendly for your wallet and probably costs around $187. For the G6 and G6 Plus, you will lose around $237 and $312. As already mentioned, the new Moto G6 must be presented to the market during MWC 2018.
