Huawei P20 Pro Exposed Details: 3 Leica 40MP Camera With 5X Optical Zoom

The Huawei P20 Pro acts as a direct answer to the Samsung Galaxy S9 (Plus). As with the Samsung top model, Huawei seems to focus on his top model on the camera. The manufacturer even announces the “renaissance of photography” in his teasers. Winfuture has gotten close to all the details of the smartphone.

Huawei was one of the first companies to have a dual camera installed in their devices. Now you can go even further with the P20 Pro: Three sensors can be seen on the glass back of the P20 Pro.

According to Roland Quandt from Winfuture, who has obtained a data sheet and press material, one of the sensors has a stately 40MP, similar to the Lumia 1020 from Nokia. The sensor is supported on the P20 Pro by an 8MP sensor and another 20MP sensor. The 8MP sensor is said to help with 5 times the hybrid zoom, while the 20MP monochrome sensor is designed to provide depth effects, among other things. The camera sensors, which have aperture sizes between f / 1.6 and f / 2.4, are also supported by an IR-RGB sensor and a laser autofocus.

As with its predecessors, the camera has again a Leica branding. The camera features should include a feature called “Light Fusion”. What this is exactly, is unclear. Like Samsung’s Galaxy S9, it should also have a slow-motion function on board, which can record 960 frames per second. The front camera has a 24MP sensor.

The Notch as in Apple’s iPhone X is in vogue this year. Huawei also does not miss out on his P20 and P20 Pro. The OLED display has a diagonal of 6.1 inches at a resolution of 2,240 x 1,080 pixels. New is the aspect ratio of 19: 9 – the device is even more stretched than a Galaxy Note 8 or S9 with 18.5: 9 aspect ratio. The fingerprint sensor is located on the front of the display.

Other features of the P20 Pro include Huawei’s Kirin 970 processor with AI chip (NPU). The latter is intended to enable numerous features based on artificial intelligence. Huawei uses the Winfuture chip, as with the Mate 10 (test) for “the automatic recognition of image motives and environmental conditions, in order to select the optimal settings when using the camera.” The Ram memory is 6GB in size, the internal memory 128GB, an extension via micro SD card is apparently not provided.

With the battery, which is loaded via USB C (USB 3.1), Huawei orients itself on its Mate series: It is a whopping 4,000mAh in size and can be quickly charged by means of the supercharging fast charging technique. In a sense, Huawei poached in its own waters with the P20 Pro, because the unit can also be considered a better Mate 10 Pro.

The Huawei P20 Pro will be equipped without a headphone jack. On the software side, it is based on Android 8.1 Oreo, to which the in-house user interface EMUI was applied in version 8.1. The Huawei P20 Pro is expected to be available in the colors Ceramic Black, Midnight Blue, and Twilight. In the latter, it seems to be an iridescent hue, which changes depending on the perspective between purple and turquoise. Cheap is the P20 Pro probably not:
