There will be at least 3 phones that Alcatel will present at the end of the month, according to what was unveiled by Alcatel USA. Alongside the already confirmed but not yet official Alcatel 5 arrive the Alcatel 3V and the Alcatel 1X. The debut of these 3 and other Alcatel smartphones is expected on February 24th at MWC 2018.
In the image above, shared by the Alcatel USA Twitter account (@alcatelmobileus) we see, from left to right: Alcatel 5, Alcatel 3V and Alcatel 1X.The specifications of the smartphone trio do not know each other, but at least the design is unveiled:
Alcatel 5 has a borderless design, almost borderless on the left and right sides, a minimal lower edge and an upper edge more often to make room for the various sensors fronts including the selfie camera; Alcatel 3v has a design with more visible edges, volume balance on the left side and on/off button on the right side; the Alcatel 1X looks like the 3v but with a smaller screen and three buttons on the right side.
As anticipated by Alcatel itself at CES 2018 at the beginning of the year, all new smartphones have a screen with an aspect ratio of 18: 9 and do not have a physical front button.
A few weeks ago, the Alcatel 5 was unveiled by Amazon France: it is a smartphone with a 5.7-inch diagonal IPS LCD display with HD resolution + powered by a MediaTek MT6750 chipset with eight Cortex-A53-clocked cores up to 1.5 GHz and 3GB of RAM. 32GB expandable storage. 12MP rear camera with LED flash and F2.0 aperture, dual front camera with 13MP sensors with F2.0 aperture and 5-element lens and 5MP with 1.4um pixels. Alcatel 5 comes with Face Unlock functionality for unlocking via face recognition. Other specific notes of Alcatel 5 is coming with Android 8.0 Oreo operating system out of the box, 3,000 mAh battery, WiFi and USB-C port.
The complete and official specifications and price of the 3 Alcatel 5, Alcatel 3V and Alcatel 1X phones will be known only next week when Alcatel will announce the devices at its pre-MWC 2018 event.
