The iPhone16 has added Visual Intelligence, which allows users to add activity from posters or flyers to the Calendar app and identify plants and animals.
The update also removes summaries of Apple Intelligence notifications for news and entertainment apps to prevent misleading alerts.
In addition, all summaries completed by Apple Intelligence are italicized to make them easier to distinguish from other notifications.
Apple also said in an update to developers that in areas open to Apple Intelligence, Models that meet the conditions in the system update (iPhone 16 series, iPhone 15 Pro series, M1 chip, or later versions of ipads and Macs) will automatically enable Apple Intelligence at the time of the update and enter the setup state, the entire process includes downloading AI models from the Internet and some installation steps.
In addition to the functional upgrades, Apple has also fixed some bugs:
