In recent days we have recorded the arrival of some photos that have shown several prototypes of the future ASUS ZenFone 6 that should be presented, officially, at the Mobile World Congress 2019 in February. Among the various prototypes of the device stood one with a side drop notch, that is positioned not in the middle of the upper edge of the display but moved laterally, as shown by the new image reported at the top of the article.
This prototype of ASUS ZenFone 6 with lateral notch really exists and, in these hours, is shown on the net for the first time. Here is the video leak released by HDBlog that reveals the prototype of what could be the new smartphone of ASUS.
Leaked images show that ASUS is testing a ZenFone 6, which has a rather weird design when it comes to designing a “water droplet” display that sits on the right-hand side of the screen instead of in the middle. As a result, the speakerphone has more space, which promises a better audio experience. Meanwhile, the bottom of the ZenFone 6 still has a fairly large chin like ZenFone 5. The metal back is bent to the sides, and the vertical dual camera cluster is placed in the center.
Dual camera + flash located in the middle of the back and continuous fingerprint sensor is quite new. At the bottom, we can see that the USB-C connector and the 3.5mm port are still there. Video on the hands of ZenFone 6 has just leaked, showing us that the smartphone supports facial recognition. However, with only a selfie camera and no sensor support, security is a question mark.
It is important to specify that there is no confirmation of the actual serial production of this version of ASUS ZenFone 6. The photos appeared online last week, in fact, showed several prototypes of ZenFone 6 and it is said that the prototype with lateral drop notch is the one chosen by ASUS for the final version of his new smartphone.
Further details on the new ASUS ZenFone 6 will arrive, in any case, already in the next few days. The smartphone will debut in just over three months, at MWC 2019 at the end of February, and, therefore, the first detailed rumors about the project will start to arrive soon.
