iGEEKPHONE News reported on April 29th: Today, the official Weibo account of Xiaomi Hyper OS announced the release of the developer preview version of Xiaomi Hyper OS based on Android 17 Beta 2.
Starting from today, developers can use the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition, and the Xiaomi 17 Early Access Edition for compatibility testing.
Due to the compatibility issue of the Android security patch, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition only support the OS 3.0.303.0.WPACNXM version for upgrade, while the Xiaomi 17 only supports the OS 3.0.306.0.WPCCNXM version for upgrade.

After the user downloads the corresponding firmware, they can complete the upgrade through the card-writing method. It should be noted that the card-writing process will erase the data. It is recommended to back up the data in advance.
Xiaomi reminds that it is not recommended to use the Xiaomi Hyper OS developer preview version of Android 17 Beta 2 on your main device. If users do not have experience with flashing the device, please proceed with caution when upgrading.
Based on the current development plans that have been released, the progress of Android 17 is significantly faster than in previous years. According to the schedule, Google is expected to release the official version of the system by the end of the second quarter of this year, around June.

This means that the new generation of flagship phones will be able to adopt the latest Android system earlier, gaining an advantage in terms of performance tuning, new feature integration, and ecosystem experience.
